Guangci’s Angels

There’s currently a young artist from Mainland China who is really making a name for himself.  And that name is Guangci.

He’s currently working on the theme of angels with the heads of Chinese Communist Party leaders.

And here’s another:

You really do need to see these satiric angels up close, so do keep an eye out for any of his work that comes your way.

Three putti (actually I can’t tell my putti from my cupids, but I believe there’s a difference.) spotted yesterday in Lockhart Road in Hong Kong.

These angels were spotted in among the strange carvings on the ruins of St Paul’s Cathedral in Macau:

The others are fairies.  And I’ve discovered the official definition for the difference between the two: fairies have insect wings while angels have bird wings.
